It’s with great sadness that Cricklade Town Football Club will not continue to run this season, with that we have to advise that we will be withdrawing from the Hellenic Division One West, and Division Two competitions this year.

Unfortunately due to various and personal reason, I have decide to resign all my positions at the club.

It has not been an easy decision having been with the club for 21 years, and Chairman for 12 seasons.

Since my decision we have been unable to find people to step up and take on the various roles and tasks that would be required for the club to continue at this level.

As Chairman we are sorry for the problems that this will causes to the Hellenic League and the clubs involved, not forgetting the players and Managers that have shown us some great commitment, and will now have to find new clubs.

I would like to thank the Hellenic League for the great experience that myself and all involved with Cricklade have enjoyed in our spell in a well-run league, and my hope is that Cricklade will rise again at some time in the future.
